How to Jump in Midair in

"Excitebots: Trick Racing" was released for the Nintendo Wii console in 2009. "Excitebots" is different from most other console racing games in that placing first in each race isn't nearly as important as obtaining the maximum amount of star points using stunts, turbo and various tricks. One surefire way to ensure the maximum amount of points on each jump is to stay in the air for as much time possible with a combination of boost, spin and glide.

Instructions

    • 1

Save your turbo as you approach a jump ramp. If you expend too much turbo, the meter on the lower right of the screen will indicate you've overheated and render the boost unusable for a brief moment, reducing both your jump height and ability to pull off a midair maneuver.

    • 2

Tap the "Turbo" button as you reach the apex of a ramp or hill to activate a turbo jump, giving you the maximum height and distance.

    • 3

Spin (or "wag") the Wii Wheel controller quickly to the left or right. This will send you into an air spin, prolonging your air time and rewarding you with more stars.

    • 4

Pull back on the Wii Wheel to aim the nose of your excitebot upward, which will "jump" you higher into the air and send you into a glide. By stringing all tricks together, it will afford you around five to seven seconds of total air time.
