How to Load Miis to the Remote

When video game consoles were first created, transferring your saved game data from console to console was a pipe dream. When transferring data was a possibility, you usually needed to haul around memory cards everywhere you went. The Nintendo Wii has streamlined the process by allowing you to store your Miis on your Wii remote. Wherever your remote goes, so go your Miis. Transferring a Mii to your remote takes only a few minutes and a couple clicks with your Wii remote.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the Wii console and the Wii remote you wish to transfer the Mii to. Click the "Mii Channel" next to the "Play game" box.

    • 2

Click "Start." Click the "Transfer Mii" button on the right side of the Mii screen. Press "A" on the Wii remote you wish to transfer the Mii to. If you have never transferred a Mii to the remote, you'll be prompted to format the saved data. Click "Yes" to do so. A box will appear with turquoise circles at the top of the screen.

    • 3

Find the Mii you wish to transfer to the remote. Make sure the Wii glove is above the Mii, and Press and hold "A" and "B" on the Wii remote. Drop the Mii in one of the empty circles. Once you have selected the Miis you wish to transfer, click the gray "Save and Quit" button inside the box. After the transfer is complete, the Mii screen will return.
