How to change the background in USB Loader GX

USB Loader GX is a alternate Wii menu that allows for homebrew software to be run as well as other multimedia players and emulators. The USB Loader GX application can also run Wii games from an inserted USB drive and allow for patches to be applied to the game. This program also allows for the user to change the skins of the background with many different user submitted backgrounds. The Homebrew Channel needs to be installed before the USB Loader GX menu can be installed and operated correctly.

Instructions

  Navigate to the Spiffy 360 website and click on "USB Loader GX" from under the category "Dashboard." The search will be tailored to display USB Loader GX results.

  Scroll through the pages and click on the specific dashboard you would like to download.

  Extract the download into a directory on your computer by clicking on the specific drive you would like to store it in and clicking on "OK."

  Insert your SD card into your computer and open the folder "CONFIG" and double-click on the "THEMES" folder to open the folder to place the downloaded theme. The USB Loader GX software requires the "CONFIG" directory to be placed onto the root of the SD card during installation of the USB Loader GX application.

  Eject the SD card from your computer and insert it into your Wii. Turn your Wii on and go to the USB Loader GX application if you do not have it set to prelaunch. Open the channel.

  Move your cursor over the settings button and press "A" on it. Use the right arrow to hover over to the tab labeled "Custom Paths" and press "A" on it to open it.

  Click on "Theme Path" and scroll down to the "CONFIG" folder and press "A" on it. Press "A" on the "THEMES" folder and you will see the themes you have on the SD card.

  Click on the specific theme you would like to add as your skin for USB Loader GX and press "A" on "OK" to change the theme.

  Press "B" to return to the main USB Loader GX menu and see your new skin.
