How to Add Outside Exercise to the Wii Fit

"Wii Fit" and the 2009 update, "Wii Fit Plus," are Nintendo Wii games that combine exercise with fun. These games use the Wii Balance Board to read your movements and track your exercises. The balance board also serves as a scale, measuring your weight and tracking your body mass index. The game records how often you check in and work out as a way of keeping you accountable; if you exercise outside the program, you can manually add that to your activity log to keep track of it within the program.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Wii Fit and select your Mii from the Wii Fit Plaza. Click "Start."

    • 2

Select the graph icon in the lower-left corner of the calendar screen.

    • 3

Select the "Fit Credits" icon from the top of the graph and press "A" on the Wiimote. Select "Activity Log" and press "A" again.

    • 4

Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to add outside exercise. Select the level of activity performed -- "Light," "Normal" or "Hard" -- and press "A."

    • 5

Place the hand cursor over the arrow buttons and click "A" to enter the amount of time spent exercising. Click "OK" to save the activity to your activity log.

    • 6

Select "Yes" if you want to add more outside exercise time to your activity log. Select "No" to return to the Activity Log screen.
