How to Set Up HBB

The Homebrew Browser, or HBB, for Wii Brew is an installable extension for the third-party Homebrew channel that allows you to browse and install homebrewed Wii games over the console's Wi-Fi. This eliminates the need to transfer games to the SD card with a computer before being able to play them in the Homebrew channel. Although installing third-party modifications such as the Homebrew Channel and the Homebrew Browser is not illegal, installation does void your Wii's factory warranty.

Instructions

  Unplug the SD card you used to install the initial Homebrew Channel on your Wii.

  Plug the SD card into your computer, then launch a file browser and navigate to the directory where you saved the initial Homebrew Channel data.

  Open an additional file browser window and navigate to the SD card.

  Create a folder in the root directory of the SD card called "apps," then copy the "homebrew_browser" folder from the Hombrew Channel data folder on your machine to inside the "apps" folder on the SD card.

  Unplug the SD card from your computer, flip the write lock switch to "off" if the switch is turned "on," then insert the SD card back into your Wii.
