Assemble the Wii Stand
Connect the stand plate into the bottom of the console stand by inserting the plate's tabs into the holes on the bottom of the console stand.
Slide the stand plate toward the middle of the console stand until it clicks. The stand locks into place.
Slide the Wii into the console stand.
Position the stand on a flat, ventilated surface near your television.
Setting up the Cables
Plug the Wii's power cable into the "DC IN 12V" plug-in on the rear of the Wii.
Plug the other end of the Wii's power cable into a wall outlet. The Wii receives power.
Plug your A/V cable into your Wii's "AV Multi Out" plug-in on the console's rear.
Plug the Wii A/V cable's RCA connectors into your television's composite inputs. Each RCA connector is color-coded so match each color -- red, white or yellow -- to the corresponding color on your TV's composite input.
Plug the sensor bar's cable into the Wii's "Sensor Bar" plug-in on the console's rear.
Place the sensor bar above or below your TV and center it. If you place it above the TV, place it directly on top of the TV. If placed below, position the sensor to the front of whatever object the TV is mounted on. Nintendo recommends placing the sensor bar above the TV for best results.
Remove the film padding on the bottom of the sensor bar. This adds stability.
Connect a Wii Remote
Insert two AA batteries into your Wii remote. The battery bay is on the back side of the remote. Leave the battery bay cover off after installing the batteries. You will need to eventually press the "Sync" button, located in the battery bay.
Turn on the Wii.
Open the Wii's SD card door, located below the "Power" button. The red button labeled "Sync" in the SD card bay helps you connect the Wii remote with the console.
Press the Wii remote's "Sync" button in the battery bay.
Push the Wii's "Sync" button. The remote syncs to the Wii. Repeat these steps for additional remotes.
