How to Connect Wii to a Digital Converter

A digital converter box is used with older televisions in order to give them a digital signal. Most people these days connect other electronics, such as DVD player and game consoles, to their TV as well. If you have a Wii you can connect it to the digital converter box itself and then connect the box to the TV.

Things You'll Need

Digital converter box
Coaxial cable
RCA cables (included with Wii)
Wii gaming console

Instructions

  Plug the digital converter into an available outlet and connect the included coaxial cable to the output port in the back of the digital converter.

  Run the coaxial cable from the digital box to the cable input on the back of your television.

  Connect the Wii's included red,yellow and white RCA cables to the color-coded input jacks on the rear of the digital converter box.

  Plug the remaining end of the RCA cables into the color-coded RCA jacks on the rear of the Wii console. Plug your Wii into an available outlet and turn it on.

  Use your TVs remote control, or the control panel on the TV itself, to switch the input channel to the channel displaying the Wii connection.
