How to Burn the Wiikey Setup Disc

Wiikey is a system modification for the Nintendo Wii home gaming system. This modification allows you to play import and backup games for the Wii and the GameCube. It also allows you to play homebrew games that you can download from the Internet. The setup disc, also called the "Configuration Disc," is a DVD that controls the settings for your Wiikey. You can download the disc from the Wiikey website as an ISO file and burn it to a DVD using your computer's DVD burner.

Instructions

  Navigate to the Wiikey website (see Resources). Login using the link at the top of the page. This will take you to the member's area of the site. If you do not have an account, you can sign up for free by clicking the link at the top of the page.

  Click the "Wiikey" link under "Select your product."

  Click the link that corresponds to your geographic region.

  Click "Get this file" under "Config Disc Images." The "Config Disc" is the same as the setup disc.

  Click the box next to "I agree to the above terms and conditions," then press the "Download" button.

  Save the file to your computer, and then right-click and select "Extract" or "Decompress" to extract the ISO image file.

  Place a blank DVD in your computer's DVD-burning drive.

  Launch DVD-burning software on your computer.

  Burn the ISO file to the blank DVD with your DVD-burning software. Different software may label it differently, but the setting will be something similar to "Write Image File" or "Burn ISO File."

  Remove the Wiikey setup disc once the burn is complete.
