How to Find the Gold Gauntlets in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Throughout the game world of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," you'll encounter boulders. These will block your progress, often to secret areas with heart pieces and other desirable goods. By equipping the silver gauntlets, which are available relatively early in the game, you'll be able to lift light objects and toss them out of your path. The golden gauntlets are available later in the game, and they allow you lift much heavier items. Finding the golden gauntlets is as simple as opening a treasure chest. However, you'll first need to gain access to Ganon's Castle.

Instructions

- 1
  Follow the main quest until you complete the Spirit Temple, the second-to-last stage in the game. Afterward, journey to Hyrule Town and head north until you reach a cliff. A rainbow bridge will appear. Cross it to enter Ganon's Castle.

  Head right and go up the stairs. Enter the door with the purple mark. You'll be transported to a puzzle room. Shoot a fire arrow at the torch to initiate the puzzle.

  Equip your hover boots and run across the platforms. Speed is essential. Do not stop for anything, even the blob that will attack you. When you reach the platform after the blob, roll off of it and to the right. You'll land on an ice platform.

  Push the button on the platform. This will summon a treasure chest. Open it to receive the golden gauntlets.
