Things You'll Need
Instructions
Warm up the soldering gun.
Place the Wii Clip firmly in the center of the included mod chip board. Solder each pin on the chip to a metallic contact point on the board.
Flip over the mod chip board and place the "Protect Label" covering over the exposed test points. The label will fit snugly over almost all of the back of the chip board.
Unplug your Wii console from the power source.
Flip the Wii on its side, then remove all screws on the console's bottom exterior. Additionally, some models have extra screws depending on when it was manufactured. Remove any extra outside screws you see.
Gently pry open the white panels to reveal the inside of the game console.
Unscrew the interior disc drive, then peel it back to reveal the D2C chip board on the reverse side.
Plug the mod board with Wii Clip into the center of the D2C chipset. You will find a thin opening in the board that matches the shape of the mod chip. Push the piece down firmly until you hear a click.
Place the protective color paper neatly over the D2C chip board. Not all Wii Clips and mod drive chips come with protective paper, so this is an optional step.
Flip the D2C board back over, revealing the disc drive on the other side. Set the drive unit back to its original starting position, then screw it in place.
Seal the Nintendo Wii case back together. This includes placing the white exterior panels and screws back into their original spots. Plug in the game console and start it up.
