Things You'll Need
Instructions
Download a desired Wii save file from your favorite online source. Websites such as Wiisave.com and GameFaqs.com offer a variety of save files, typically uploaded by other Wii users.
Connect an SD card to your computer using an available SD reader. Open the "Computer" utility from your desktop. Double-click the SD card entry, generally labeled "Removable Disk."
Create the following folder structure within the root of your SD card: "Private\Wii\Title\." Then, create an additional sub-folder named after the code of the game you wish to play (see Resources). This game code is necessary for the Wii to properly label and read the save file in question. For example, Super Mario Galaxy's English game code is "RMGE"; create a folder using such name.
Move the downloaded save file, "Data.Bin," to the folder recently created. Remove the SD card from your computer and place it into your console's "SD Card" slot.
Turn on the Wii console and click "Wii Options" from the main menu. Select "Data Management," followed by "Save Data" then "Wii." Click the "SD Card" tab from the menu at hand.
Press the save file previously downloaded and click "Copy" from the subsequent menu options. This will effectively install the save file into your console, allowing you to use it with the video game you wish to play.
