How to Beat the Legend of Zelda on Wii

"The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" for Wii makes major departures from previous games in the series, both to accommodate the unconventional Wii controller and to keep the series from experiencing a commercially deadly stagnation. The Twilight realm newly introduced to Hyrule lore has profound effects on the normal realm and grants the protagonist, Link, the ability to transform into a wolf that isn't susceptible to the negative effects of Twilight. However, the key to winning the game is still defeating the baleful sorcerer Ganondorf and ending his forced reign over the kingdom.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the chapel door at the top of Ganondorf's fortress using the Boss Key. Four segments of a struggle ensue, with transitions occurring automatically during cinematic scenes.

    • 2

Swing your sword at the large orbs of golden light the puppet Princess propels toward you to deflect them back at her. The closer you stand, the faster they hurtle toward her. Repeat this twice more to end this part of the battle.

    • 3

Shoot the wolfish form of Ganondorf with arrows as he emerges from portals. When he falls to the ground, slash at the silver scar on his abdomen with your sword. As he retreats, turn into Link's wolf form, and press the "Action" button to throw him to the ground again. Continue attacking his stomach.

    • 4

Pursue Ganondorf on horseback, avoiding the obstacles he conjures to slow and injure you. Use the Z-targeting feature to lock onto him, allowing Zelda to shoot him with arrows while you slash at him with the Master Sword. This segment of the battle is surprisingly short.

    • 5

Engage in a sword fight with Ganondorf to end the battle. Roll, back flip and side-step to the left to avoid the swings of his massive sword, while slashing him and making frequent use of your special moves, particularly Back Slice. Use the Ending Blow sword technique after he falls to his back. Finishing this segment takes a long time.
