How to Use an Icon Wireless Mic for the Nintendo Wii

The Icon wireless microphone is designed to work with any gaming system and allow you to play games that require vocal input, like "Rock Band" and "Guitar Hero: World Tour." The microphone is wireless, allowing you to wander around the area or pass the microphone around during a performance. When you want to connect the Icon wireless mic to your Wii you have to first install a receiver into the Wii system so that the microphone can communicate with the system.

  Connect the USB charging cable to the bottom of the microphone.

  Move the switch on the Icon wireless microphone to the "Off" position.

  Plug the other end of the USB charging cable into the back of your Wii system or into a USB port on a computer -- whatever you choose to plug the microphone into, it must be a device that will be turned on for the next 12 hours. Wait at least 12 hours for the microphone to fully charge.

  Remove the charging cable from the Wii or computer, and remove it from the bottom of the Icon wireless mic as well.

  Plug the small antenna piece into the bottom of the wireless mic.

  Insert the wireless receiver into one of the USB ports on the back of your Wii system. Move the switch on the wireless receiver to "Xbox360/Wii."

  Move the switch on the microphone to the "On" setting, then turn the power on to your Wii. The microphone will automatically pick up the receiver, and you will be able to use the mic.
