How to Save Wii Sports to a Console

The Nintendo Wii features the ability to copy a game to the console's hard drive and play the game without the disc. This can be especially useful in reducing the amount of times you have to switch out new disc games. There are two ways to save a game such as Wii Sports onto the console.

Instructions

  1. How to Save The Game From The Disc

    • 1

      Insert the Wii Sports disc.

    • 2

Access the Wii's main menu. Use the Wii-mote's cursor to click on the "User Settings" tab at the top right of the menu.

    • 3

Click the "memory settings" tab in the user settings menu. Click the "save current game" button, which will copy the game to the console's memory. The console shows how much memory the save will take and what is left after the download. The download might take a few hours.

    • 4

Access Wii Sports from the Wii Menu after the download. Find the game in one of the windows found at the Wii Menu.

How to Save The Game From The Internet

Scroll down until you find Wii Sports. You will have to pay for the game, but it will automatically be saved onto your console. The download will take about ten to twenty minutes.
