Things You'll Need
Instructions
Detach the neck from the base of the guitar. This is done by flipping the unlock switch on the back of the guitar and gently pulling the neck off the guitar.
Pull the plastic faceplate off the front of the guitar. This will reveal the screws you need to remove in order to get the guitar open.
Unscrew all the screws. There should be four Phillips screws and 10 Torx screws. You will know which Torx screws you have by the number of sides in the opening -- it will either be six or 10. Peel back the warranty sticker to get to the head of the final screw, No. 11.
Use a magnet to remove each of the screws. This will keep you from losing them inside the casing. Keep the screws in a safe place so you can replace them when you want to put the casing back together.
Pull the two halves apart. You can use a flat-head screwdriver to help pry the parts in the beginning but be gentle in order to protect the plastic.
