Gamestop Universal Dance Pad Directions for the Wii

Some video games, such as "Dance Dance Revolution," require special floor-bound dance pad controllers. These pads contain buttons that respond to the foot movements of the user. Universal dance pads typically feature cords for multiple gaming consoles. Game Stop's pads, like any other, will plug into a Wii console through the Wii's GameCube controller slots.

Instructions

  Turn off the Wii and stand it up on end inside the cradle that came with the system. Open the hatch on top of the Wii to reveal four GameCube controller ports.

  Plug the dance pad's Wii/GameCube connector into the slot closest to the "Power" button. If the Wii is set up Wii horizontally, gently squeeze the back lower edge of the GameCube controller cover to remove it. The Wii will not lie completely flat with the controller cover attached.

  Insert a compatible game and turn the Wii on as you normally would. If the game is compatible with the dance pad, you'll be able to stand on the pad and press the buttons with your feet.
