Find the audio/visual inputs on the TV. They are often located on the back of the TV, although this isn't true for all models. The best way to find them is to look for the small, colored circles marked "Audio" and "Video IN." They can also be labeled as "INPUT (component)." Make sure they are marked "IN." Do not connect the wires to anything labeled "OUT."
Connect the AV Multi Out Plug to the Wii console. This is the side of the wire that has one rectangular plug --- not the side with the three multicolored plugs.
Connect the AV Multi Out Plug to the TV or VCR. The yellow plug goes into the video input connection, the white plug goes into the audio input left, or mono, and the red plug goes into audio input right. If those spots cannot be found, then look for an Input (component) spot with five open circles. The white and red plugs will go in to the white and red circles, with white being left and red being right. The yellow plug will go into the circle labeled with a Y, the color yellow, or the word video. The two other open circles do not need to have anything plugged into them.
Turn on the Wii console and the TV.
Change the TV to the channel being used. Each input spot on the TV has its own input selection channel. They can be cycled through by using the "Input Select" or "Source" button on the remote control for the TV. They can also be cycled through by using the "TV/Video" button on the remote control or the front panel of the television. Other labels include: Input, ETC, AUX, AV, or channel 00 or 99.
