Instructions
Turn on your Wii. Click the "Wii" icon.
Select "Wii Settings," symbolized by a wrench icon. The "Wii System Settings" menu will appear. Click the blue arrow to navigate to the second page.
Choose "Internet," and review your listed connections. If the first connection says anything other than "None," click it, and then select "Clear Settings." Click the first connection again.
Select "Manual Setup," and click "Wireless Connection." Choose the appropriate security type. If the connection is unprotected, click the blue arrow to continue.
Enter the network's IP address, subnet mask, gateway and any required password. Click "No" when asked if you want the Wii to auto-obtain an IP address and DNS, and then select "Advanced Settings."
Click "Don't use" under "Proxy Server." Proxy servers are used in large buildings with many people, and unless you have the authority to use a building's wireless connection, select "Don't use."
Click "Save" when the "MTV Value" screen appears. Do not adjust the MTV number on the screen.
Start the connection test on the following screen. The Wii will attempt to connect to the wireless network and will notify you if it succeeds. If it cannot connect, double-check your settings.
