Instructions
Confirm that the Wii Fit Balance Board is turned on. The blue power light on the Balance Board should be glowing if it is powered correctly.
Check that the Wii Fit Balance Board has working batteries installed. You can remove the battery cover from the bottom of the Wii Fit Balance Board and try fresh batteries to eliminate this as the first issue that could be keeping your Wii Fit game from working. This not only helps if your Wii Fit Balance Board is not turning on, but also if you are having problems with the Balance Board correctly determining your movements.
Inspect the surface on which the Wii Fit Balance Board is sitting. If you have shag or plush carpeting, you may need to use the foot extensions to ensure the Balance Board is correctly registering your weight and movements during game play.
Confirm that the Wii Fit Balance Board is synced correctly with the Nintendo Wii game console. Open the SD card slot cover on the Wii console, then remove the battery cover from the bottom of the Wii Balance Board. Press the SYNC button on the Balance Board until the blue light starts blinking, then do the same with the red SYNC button on the console while the blue light is blinking on the Balance Board. Once the blue light stops blinking and stays on, the synchronization is complete.
