How to Charge a Docking Station With a Fan Quad For a Wii

Fan-cooled quad docking stations for the Nintendo Wii, such as those manufactured and sold by companies such as Mad Catz or eForCity, allow players to play Wii for longer periods of time with the addition of a cooling system that augments the basic fan of the console itself. With the addition of rechargeable batteries, the stations can also charge your Wiimote controllers whenever you're not playing, taking the hassle of keeping an eye on battery life out of your games. Charging with the stations is a simple process if you have the right equipment.

Instructions

    • 1

Load all four of your Wiimote controllers with rechargeable batteries by opening the compartments on the rear of each controller and inserting the batteries, making sure to line up the positive and negative terminals correctly. Close the battery compartments firmly to prevent them getting caught in the charging bay.

    • 2

Insert the Wii into the large rectangular bay so it sits snugly and does not wobble.

    • 3

Connect the small round plug of the docking station's AC adapter to the plug in the back of the station. Connect the large square end of the plug to a mains power point.

    • 4

Insert your Wiimote controllers into the small square bays on the side of the station. Slide the controllers in directly downward then gently push back until they sit comfortably on a slight lean. Leave the controllers for eight to 10 hours for the first charge to allow the batteries to charge fully. After this, remove and replace them as needed to keep your batteries charged.
