How to Customize the Wii Fit

In "Wii Fit," you and your friends and family members can set a workout plan, then partake in a variety of exercises, including yoga and aerobics. The game makes use of the included balance board to test your form and posture as you exercise. Before you play for the first time, you will need to customize your experience by choosing the Mii, or avatar, you want to use, then performing a body test. After this, you can set goals, then go to "User Settings" to change any options you desire.

Instructions

    • 1

Start the game and choose the Mii you want to use as your avatar while exercising.

    • 2

Perform a body test. If this is your first time playing "Wii Fit," you are prompted to do this automatically. Input your birth date and height, then stand on the balance board when prompted. This reveals your body mass index (BMI), center of balance and Wii Fit age, which will be used to create a custom experience as you work out.

    • 3

Click on the arrow keys to set your BMI goal. This lets you set what you want your BMI to be after a certain time period, such as two weeks.

    • 4

Enter a four-number password if you want to keep your data private. You must enter this password every time you access "Wii Fit," if you choose to use one.

    • 5

Click on "Calendar," then click the "User Settings" icon on the top right side of the screen. You may change a variety of settings in this menu, such as the color of the calendar and design of the stamp used to mark your progress. You are also able to change your trainer's gender.
