How to Add a Second Wii Guitar to Rock Band

Connecting an Official "Rock Band" Guitar

  Assemble the guitar(s). Attach the headstock to the neck of the guitar. Insert three fresh AA batteries in the battery compartment on the back of the guitar, then attach the guitar strap to the connectors on the guitar body. Turn the guitar on by setting the switch on the back of the guitar to "On."

  Plug the white wireless dongle into a USB port on the back of your Wii.

  Turn your Wii on. Press the "Sync" button on your guitar, then press the "Sync" button on the wireless dongle. The blue light on the dongle will flash and then become a solid light when the guitar is connected. Repeat for your second guitar.

  Play "Rock Band." From the main menu, select "Multiplayer." The instrument menu will appear. Press the green fret button on both your guitar controllers to join. Select a difficulty by using the "Strum Bar" on each guitar and confirm by pressing the green fret button.

Connecting an Official "Guitar Hero" Guitar

  Remove the controller compartment cover from the back of the Wii guitar(s). Connect the Wii remote to the connector inside the compartment and insert the remote and wrist strap into the recess. Replace the cover.

  Press any button on the Wii remote through the cutaway on the front of the guitar to sync the Wii remote with your console.

  Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for your second guitar controller.

  Play "Rock Band." From the main menu, select "Multiplayer." The instrument menu will appear. Press the green fret button on both your guitar controllers to join. Select a difficulty by using the "Strum Bar" on each guitar and confirm by pressing the green fret button.
