How to Plug the Wii Rock Band in at the USB

As with most peripheral devices for "next-generation" consoles, the "Rock Band" guitar shaped controllers for the Nintendo Wii version of the game are designed to be wireless. The drum kit and the microphone however, still must be plugged into a special adapter that connects to your Wii via one of its USB ports. This adapter, called a USB hub, comes packaged with your Wii "Rock Band" instrument kit.

Instructions

  Flip open the cover to the utility panel on the back of your Nintendo Wii. This reveals the Wii's USB inputs.

  Plug the "Rock Band" USB hub into any available USB input on your Nintendo Wii.

  Plug the cable that's attached to the microphone controller to one of the inputs on the USB hub.

  Plug the cable that's attached to your "Rock Band" drum kit to one of the inputs on the USB hub.

  Plug the small, flash-drive shaped device that came with your "Rock Band" instrument kit into the USB hub. This device is the wireless dongle that lets your wireless guitar controllers communicate with your Wii, allowing you to play the game.
