While on the menu, pressing the A button confirms a choice. The minus button acts as a cancel button, and the plus button displays the current player status. The one button displays statistical information and the two button saves the data.
Select a play mode. Pangya Festival is a story-based mode in which your character challenges several opponents. Completing storylines grants new characters, caddies, clothes, equipment and extra money for winning. Stroke Play mode allows you to select an opponent in an 18-round match. A winner is determined by the total number of strokes at the end of the 18 rounds. Match play mode is a tournament featuring several players. A winner is selected for each hole and rankings are based on total number of holes won. Winnings in stroke play mode and match play mode provide money and trophies, depending on ranking.
When playing in swing mode, the Wii remote acts like a golf club. Select the ball impact point by pointing the Wii remote at the screen and pressing A. Press the B button to practice a swing. The one button will change camera mode and the two button will activate items. Up and down on the directional pad control the club selection while left and right control the direction of the shot. When ready, swing the Wii remote as if holding the handle of a golf club.
When playing in button mode, the power of the swing is determined by accurate button presses. Select a club by pressing the up and down directionals and choose an angle by pressing left or right. Press the B button to enter shot mode. Press the B button again to start the power gauge. Press the A button when the power gauge reaches the appropriate strength. Press the A button again in the marked zone on the power gauge to hit a special shot called a Pangya.
Purchase clothes and equipment at the shop to improve your players' abilities. Purchased items cause special effects during matches to benefit the player or hinder opponents.
