Second Player Super Chargers Are Not Working in Mario for Wii

The Wii remote Super Charger from Update Technology (HK) powers the remote without the need to replace batteries. The remote is placed in the charger's docking station and recharges the remote until it is either fully powered or removed. Sometimes a charger will not work properly and one of the remotes will not work during game play, including Super Mario Bros. games. There are several charging-related issues that can cause a first, second or any other remote not to work properly. Most of the time the issue can be resolved quickly.

Instructions

Make sure the Super Charger is properly plugged into a power source. This will seem like a common-sense step to take but can be easily forgotten. Check the Super Charger's power cord to make sure it is plugged into a power source and check any switches that may have cut off power to the power source (i.e. wall and power strip switches).

    • 2

Place the remote back into the Super Charger's docking station and make sure it is properly in place. Depending on the charger's brand, you will either see an indicator light turn on or the remote will click into place. Sometimes the remote can be placed in the docking station incorrectly and this will prevent the remote from charging. Paying attention next time you charge your remote can help prevent this problem.

    • 3

Recharge the controller in the Super Charger even if the remote has power in it. Sometimes a low amount of power can create a weak signal between the remote and the game. This will make the remote more likely to not work during game play if there are any objects blocking the sensor strip, if you're standing far way from the sensor strip or if any any infrared lights are interfering with the remote's signal.

Call the manufacturer of your charging system or the Nintendo customer service if problems continue. The problem could be a broken Super Charger or a broken Wii remote. In either case you'll likely have to get these items replaced.
