Instructions
Wii Remote - Vertical Operation
Turn on the Wii Console and check that it is synced with the Wii Remote. Put your hand through the remote's safety strap and tighten as shown on the boot screen. Point the remote at the screen with the buttons facing up, much like a TV remote. Familiarize yourself with the cursor speed and sensitivity as you point to different spots on the screen.
Locate the Mii creation icon with the cursor. Click the "B" button located under the remote, using your index finger. Play around with different options, as they contain most of the basic functions you will need to perform for games. Practice pressing on-screen buttons, dragging items and twisting the remote so that the arrow points in different directions.
Navigate back to the home screen. Load a game that requires vertical position of the remote. Follow any special on-screen instructions and play the game.
Wii Remote -- Horizontal Operation

Turn the remote so that the side with the directional pad is in your left hand, much like a classic controller. Adjust the safety tether as desired.
Use your thumbs to operate the D-pad and to press the "1" and "2" buttons. Follow any on-screen instructions and play the game.
Wii Remote + Nunchuk
Navigate back to the home screen. Load a game requiring or allowing the Wii Remote with Nunchuk control style.
Hold the remote in the vertical position. Plug the Nunchuk into the bottom of the remote. Hold the Nunchuk in your non-dominant hand, with your thumb on the analog stick.
Follow any on-screen instructions. Play the game using the Nunchuk for navigation and the remote for pointing.
