How to Play Wii PAL Games on a USA Wii

The PAL version of the Nintendo Wii is from the European region, while the NTSC Nintendo Wii is from the United States region. Nintendo Wii PAL games are not compatible with a Nintendo Wii NTSC system. But there is a trick that can allow you to play PAL Wii games on a NTSC system. This involves using a swap disc known as "FreeLoader" with the Wii; this deceives the Wii into thinking that the next game inserted after the swap disc is removed is a NTSC game disc.

     Turn on the Wii system and allow the menu to load.

     Ensure that there are no discs in the Wii system.

     Insert the FreeLoader disc into the Wii and let it load. Highlight the FreeLoader disc option with the Wiimote and click on it. The program will now load.

     Choose the "Play PAL" discs option. After this, FreeLoader will eject from the Wii. Remove the disc.

     Insert the PAL game disc into the Wii. It will now load and play.
