Navigate to the Wii Brew website and click on the "Emulators" tab. Browse for the emulator you would like and click on the emulator link to be transferred to another page detailing the emulator. There is also a compatibility list describing what the emulators will play on their designated pages.
Download the emulator of your choice by clicking on "Download" to save the program to your computer.
Visit a ROM website to download ROMs that are compatible with your emulator.
Confirm your SD or SDHC card is compatible with the Wii by finding your SD card at the Wii Brew SD/SDHC compatibility test website.
Insert your SD or SDHC card into your computer and go to "My Computer." Right-click on your SD or SDHC card and choose "Format" from the sub-menu. Choose to format as "FAT32" and select "Quick Format." Click "OK" to format your SD or SDHC card.
Create a folder on your SD card in the root directory named "Apps." Copy your emulator applications to the Apps folder. Some emulators have separate folders that must go on the root of the SD card. These folders contain the ROMS the emulator will launch and the SAVES folder to save your games to. Copy your ROMS to their designated emulator ROMS folder.
Eject your SD or SDHC card from your computer and insert the card into your Wii. Turn on your Wii and access the Homebrew Channel by clicking on it and pressing "Start."
Browse for your emulator, click on it and press "Start" to load the software. Some ROMs for games need to be loaded from a directory entitled "LOAD ROMS" within the emulator. Access the directory and press "A" to load your games. Press "Play Game" to load the ROM. Other emulators load the ROMs on the main menu of the software. Click on the ROM and the game loads. You can also configure the settings for the emulators. Settings that can be changed include save locations, controller settings and music.
