My Game Will Not Eject From the Wii Console

With the Nintendo Wii video game console you can play Wii games, GameCube games and Virtual Console games, which are special games you download online from the Wii. When you insert a game into the Wii, you must make sure you properly insert the game, and that the game is not scratched or damaged. If you experience an issue where you can't remove a game disc, then you must troubleshoot the problem until the game can be ejected.

  Hold the "Power" button on the front of the Nintendo Wii until the LED light turns red. Press the "Power" button again to turn on the Wii, and then press the "Eject" button to see if the disc will eject.

  Turn off the Wii again and then remove the power adapter plug from the back of the Wii. Wait at least 10 seconds and then reconnect the power adapter. Try ejecting the game again.

  Use your Wii remote to try to access the game from the main menu. If the game works properly, let it run for one minute and then try to eject it again.

  Write down the error code number if an error message appears on your screen. Look up the error at the Nintendo Support website.

  Contact Nintendo Support if the disc can still not be ejected; you may need to send your Wii in to be fixed.
