How to Hook Up the Wii to Your Computer

Nintendo Wii boasts an interactive gaming experience that few other consoles can equal. This feature has propelled many PC gamers to buy their own Nintendo Wii. For many PC owners as a whole, the ability to play Nintendo Wii with one's computer screen and speakers offers an alternative to buying a TV and stereo system specifically for their Nintendo Wii.

  • RCA cable
  • RCA audio "Y" adapter
  • Double female audio jack adapter
  • RCA video to VGA adapter

Instructions

    • 1

      Connect the RCA cable to the Nintendo Wii. The connections should be color-coordinated: Red to red, white to white, and yellow to yellow.

      Connect the red and white connectors on the other end of the RCA cable to the red and white connectors on the RCA audio "Y" adapter. The other end of the "Y" adapter is a regular audio jack, plug this in to the double female audio jack adapter.

      Unplug the speaker jack from your computer and plug it into the other end of the double female audio jack adapter.

      Plug the remaining RCA connector (should be yellow), into the RCA to VGA adapter.

      Unplug your computer monitor from your PC tower and plug the RCA to VGA adapter into your PC monitor with the VGA connection.
