How to Add an External DVD to Wii

Your Nintendo Wii comes equipped with output jacks which allow you to connect the unit to a television. If you want, you can connect the Wii to a DVD player and in turn connect the DVD player to a television. This will allow you to use both machines with the same television.

Instructions

      Turn the Wii around. Locate the three color-coded output jacks (red, white, yellow) on the back of the console.

      Connect the included RCA cable ends to the output jacks on the back of the Wii. The connectors are color-coded as well so they will match with the jacks.

      Connect the remaining end of the RCA cables to the input ports on the back of your DVD player.

      Run the RCA cables which came with your DVD player from the output jacks on the back of the DVD player to the input jacks on either the front or rear of your television set. At this point all three units will be connected.
