Things You'll Need
Instructions
Start a Program From an SD Card
Slide an SD card into the SD card slot under the flap on the front of your Wii console.
Turn on your Wii.
Click on the "SD Card" option in the bottom left corner of the main menu.
Hover over the item you want from the SD card and press "A" on the Wii remote.
Click "Start" to begin the game or Wii channel.
Insufficient Space
Choose "Channels on the Right Side of the Wii Menu" if you received the error message "This channel could not be launched. Manage your Wii System Memory to launch this channel" when trying to launch something from your SD card. This option will automatically move programs from the right side of the Wii menu until there is enough space to launch your selected program.
Choose "Channels with Many Blocks" if you would prefer to move the programs using the most memory to the SD Card.
Select "Channels with Few Blocks" to transfer the programs with the least memory.
Click on "Channels Not Used Lately" if you would like to move those programs that have not been used in a long time.
Select "Next" when you have chosen from the four options. Once the transfer is complete, the program will launch automatically from the SD card.
Backup Wii Data
Click on "Wii Options" from the main menu of the Wii.
Select "Data Management," then "Save Data" and then "Wii."
Find the saved data you wish to backup and choose "Copy." The data will now be on both your Wii memory and your SD card.
