Unplug the power cord and the A/V cable from the back of the Wii. Remove the SD memory card from the side memory card slot.
Stand the Wii on its side on a table so that the plastic tab by the battery compartment is facing up. Insert the tip of a flat-edged screwdriver beneath the tab and pull up. Remove the tab. Remove the screw from the battery compartment with a Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the compartment lid with the attached battery behind it.
Scratch off the stickers with the tip of the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the screws from beneath the stickers with the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the two screws from inside the compartment with the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the other screw in the compartment with the Torx screwdriver.
Stand the Wii so that the side door compartments are facing up. Push in on both doors to spring them out from the Wii. Open both doors fully. Grip one door and wiggle it back and forth until it comes loose from the plastic hinge. Remove the door. Repeat this procedure with the other door.
Remove the screws from inside the compartment with the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Pull the compartment cover plate off the Wii.
Stand the Wii with the connection ports facing you. Remove the screws from either end of the back with the Torx screwdriver.
Place the Wii face down. Insert the tip of the flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver beneath one of the two rubber feet. Pull up on the tip to loosen the foot. Pull the foot off. Repeat this with the other rubber foot.
Scratch off the two stickers with the tip of the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the screws from beneath the stickers and rubber feet with the Torx screwdriver.
Stand the Wii with the front-loading slot facing up. Pull the front panel off. Remove the cable connected to the circuit board inside the front of the Wii with the tweezers. Place the front panel aside.
Grip the outer case and pull it away from you to separate it from the front of the Wii. Place the case aside. Place the other section of the Wii on the table with the section where the front panel was facing left.
Remove the screws from the corners of the DVD drive with the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver --- the DVD drive is on the right side of the Wii. Pull the DVD drive off the Wii. Remove the two plugs from the back end of the Wii with your fingers.
Insert the tip of the flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver into the connector on the circuit board beneath the DVD drive that has a white cable in it. Lift up on the tip to release the latch. Pull the white cable out of the circuit board. Remove the DVD drive from the Wii.
