Connect your Wii console to the Internet if you haven't already done so. The Wii has an internal wireless adapter, allowing it to connect to your home wireless connection. To set up your wireless connection, click the "Wii" button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, select "Wii Settings" and scroll to the second page to select "Internet".
Select the "Wii Shop" channel on your main screen. This is typically in the top-right corner of the screen, and will rotate between an image of a shopping bag and the text "Wii Shop Channel."
Select "Channels" from the Wii Shop categories, and choose the Internet Channel from the list of channels. It will be available at a cost of 0 Wii points.
Confirm the download. The Wii will show you how many blocks of memory the Internet Channel will take, and how many you will have available after the download. If you lack enough system memory, you can insert an SD card in the front of the Wii console to add additional memory.
Select the Internet Channel from the list of channels on the main screen. if you have more than 12 channels or games installed on your Wii you will have to scroll to the right to find the Internet channel, which will be marked with the word "Internet."
