How to Backup a Wii Without a Modchip

Making a backup of your Wii NAND system memory is useful if you have a soft-modded Wii that you run homebrew applications and other files on. Using system applications that change the Wii system menu or other system settings can brick your Wii. Bricking your Wii renders it inoperable. With the use of BootMii, you can make a backup of your Wiis NAND memory and save it to your SD card. In the event your Wii is ever bricked, you can restore it with BootMii. The Homebrew Channel is required to be installed and functioning before BootMii can be used.
