How to Get Wii Cursor Back on Screen

The Nintendo Wii is the successor to the Nintendo GameCube. This system allows users to wirelessly control their own movements with a Wiimote. This remote control sends a signal to the sensor bar located above or below the TV. The Wiimote's cursor can disappear offscreen or become stuck in a random position for a variety of reasons.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure that the Wii sensor bar is plugged firmly into the back of the Wii. If the sensor bar is loose, the Wiimote will not respond correctly.

    • 2

Insert new AA batteries into the Wiimote if it has been a long time since you replaced them. Dying batteries will cause the Wiimote to be unresponsive.

    • 3

Ensure that you are between three and 10 feet from the TV when using the Wiimote as that is the recommended distance listed by Nintendo.

    • 4

Remove any objects that may be blocking the Wii sensor bar or Wiimote from sending or receiving a signal.

    • 5

Move or turn off cell phones and radios near the Wii system or Wiimote. These give off radio frequencies that can cause the Wiimote to go haywire.
