How to Unlock the Hand Cannon on Resident Evil 4 for the Wii

The Resident Evil series of games are well known for their replay value, which often includes unlockable secrets and alternate play modes that you can only access once you meet certain criteria. "Resident Evil 4" is no exception, offering unlockable content, such as powerful weapons, for use on subsequent playthroughs. One of the more difficult weapons to unlock is the hand cannon, which you can use to kill most enemies -- even bosses -- with just one shot.

     Complete the main game and save your file. This will unlock "The Mercenaries" game mode.

     Obtain a five-star rating on all four maps of "The Mercenaries" using all all five characters. That is, you must get a five-star rating on every map using Wesker, Hunk, Ada, Leon and Krauser.

     Load a new game using your cleared game save file. The hand cannon is now available from the merchant for free.
