How to Connect 2 Wii Controllers to Play Mario Party 8

"Mario Party 8" for the Nintendo Wii features both a standard board game and mini-games that take full advantage of the Wii Remote's motion sensor. "Mario Party 8" supports up to four players, each of whom plays as a character from the "Super Mario" universe: Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi and, of course, Mario are among the 14 characters represented. Two players can face off in the Minigame Tent or team up against computer opponents in the Tag Battle. Each player uses her own Wii Remote and Nunchuk, and every controller has to first be synced to the Wii console.

Instructions

  1. Syncing a Wii Remote

    • 1

Remove the battery cover from the Wii Remote. Open the cover to the SD card slot on the front of the Wii console. Power on the Wii.

    • 2

Press the small red sync button inside the Wii Remote's battery compartment.

    • 3

Press the red sync button inside the compartment on the front of the Wii console.

    • 4

Wait for the lights on the front of the Wii Remote to stop blinking; when only one light is lit, the remote has been synced to the console.
