How to Install New Remotes on the Wii

The Nintendo Wii console possesses motion-sensing technology through the use of wireless remotes and a proprietary receiver. This allows players to enjoy video games more realistically. Depending on the game choice, users can literally throw punches or swing the remote like a bat to achieve the game's goals. Prior to using a Wii remote on the console, however, it must be installed through an efficient synchronization method.

Open the "SD Card" slot cover from the Wii console. Press the red "Sync" button within the SD card slot compartment.
