How to Perform ISO Backups on the Wii

An ISO backup is a backup of your Wii game. With a modded Wii, there is the possibility to backup your Wii games from your Wii system. To do so, you must already have the Homebrew Channel installed on the Wii and a Trucha patched IOS or Internal Operating System. This allows the USB Loader to operate correctly and be recognized. You also need to have a cIOS (custom Internal Operating System) to successfully run the USB Loader GX.

Things You'll Need

  • USB Loader GX
  • Previously installed Trucha patched IOS
  • Previously installed cIOS
  • Partitioned USB drive or external HD
  • SD card
