How to Get Wii Point Codes to Work

Wii Points are used to purchase downloadable software from the Wii Shop Channel, which can be accessed through the Wii console's channel menu. One way of obtaining these points is by redeeming point codes obtained from Nintendo Points Cards that can be purchased from retailers. To do this you must first have your Wii console connected to the Internet and have a valid Nintendo Points Card ready to use.

  Turn on your console and go to the "Wii Shop" channel on the channel menu.

  Click on the "Start Shopping" button on the "Welcome to the Wii Shop" screen, then click the "Add Wii Points" button.

  Click on the "Redeem Nintendo Points Card" option.

  Scratch off the silver panel on the back of the Nintendo Points Card to reveal a code. Enter this code in the space indicated on the screen.

  Press the "OK" button, followed by "Redeem." A confirmation screen will appear when the transaction has been successfully processed.

  Call the customer service number for Nintendo, (800) 255-3700, if these steps do not work and you have double-checked that you entered the correct code.
