How to Reset the Nintendo Wii Parental Controls Passcode

The Nintendo Wii includes parental controls that allow to regulate what type of content users have access to while using the Nintendo Wii. While setting up parental controls, you are given a passcode that is used to configure parental control settings. If you forget the passcode, you can retrieve by answering the security question you selected while setting up the parental controls.

      Turn on the Wii. Select the "Wii" icon at the bottom of the Wii Channel Menu.

      Select the blue arrow to move to the "Wii System Settings 2" menu options. Select "Parental Controls." Select "Yes."

      Select "I forgot" and enter the answer to the secret question you selected when setting up the parental controls. If you do not know the answer, the only way to retrieve a reset code is by contacting Nintendo's customer service at 800-255-3700.
