How to Get All Masks in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

"The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" is an action/adventure game that was released for the Nintendo 64 console in 2000. The game was made available on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console service in 2009. During the course of the game, the protagonist Link acquires various masks. Besides normal masks, which are just there for completion, the game also has special masks that can transform Link. Getting all the masks in the game can be a time-consuming endeavor.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel through the game world of Termina and explore all of the locations. The game has a three-day cycle, after which the character has to travel back in time and start over. Items like masks, maps and weapons are saved, but everything else is lost, and non-player characters will have no recollection of meeting the player. Knowing where the locations are, and how to get to them quickly, will speed up the process of getting masks before the time travel occurs. The Zelda Universe website (see Resources) has detailed maps that can be used.

Print out or refer to dedicated mask location lists. RPG Classics has an extensive list that shows not only the location and purpose of each mask, but also how they look (see Resources). Another valuable reference is the mask list at Zelda Dungeon (see Resources). A complete walkthrough of the game including the mask locations can be found at the official site for the "Legend Of Zelda" universe (see Resources).

Collect all twenty normal masks in the game. In the final part of the game when Link travels to the moon, he will receive the Fierce Deity mask from a Majora-mask wearing character as a reward.
