Wiimote iPhone Connectivity
There have been many apps for the iPhone that allow their users to use the Wiimote to interact with the phone. Apps range from allowing users to play games with the Wiimote to being able to change various settings. Some apps only allow Wiimote interactivity with other specific apps.
Wiimote Android Connectivity
User Pikipirs has created a hack that allows the Wiimote to be able to hook up to an Android phone. Users who do this can use a Wiimote to play games or control various features of their phone wirelessly. The response of the Wiimote's controls are reportedly better than the iPhone hacks mentioned in Section 1.
Tracking Your Fingers
A researcher in the Applied Sciences department for Microsoft, Johnny Chung Lee, has created various hacks using the Nintendo Wiimote. One of these uses the Wiimote to track the movement of your fingers. Software has been created to use this technology to interact with a computer as well. Currently the software allows up to four points to interact in a 2D space. This software requires that your PC has Bluetooth capability.
Low-Cost Multipoint Interactive Whiteboards
Johnny Chung Lee has also created another hack that allows you to use the Wiimote to interact with a program using LED lights. This can be used for whiteboards or to mimic a multitouch interactive display. This software requires that a PC has Bluetooth capability.
