Wii Menu
The Wii's menu screen channels can be reorganized to suit your own preferences. Point at an option with your Wii Remote controller and hold down the "A" and "B" buttons simultaneously. Pick up the channel and place it in a spare slot elsewhere on that page or a different one.
Jigsaw Hardcore Mode
The jigsaw puzzle is a minigame in the Wii Photo Channel. Hold down the "1" button on the controller when you choose how many pieces the jigsaw will have. The game will give you 194 pieces to work with instead of the normal options of six, 12, 24 or 48 pieces.
Fireball Mario
Whenever you download something from the Wii shop, you'll get an animation of Nintendo's star character, Mario. The plumber comes in a blue and red costume or a white and red one. If Mario is in white and red, press the remote's "A" button and he'll throw fire around.
Stubborn Wii Remotes
Some Wii owners may find that a new or borrowed Wii Remote controller won't sync with their console. When this happens, turn off the Wii and pull out the plug. After 30 seconds, reconnect everything and turn the game on. Wait for the Health and Safety sign to pop up, then hold down the red "Sync" button beneath the flap on the Wii's front for 15 seconds. This should erase the console's controller memory so the new remote can be synced with the Wii.
Blue Lighting
Users can retain the blue disc slot lighting even when the system doesn't have an announcement. You'll need to send yourself an e-mail to your Wii account first. The e-mail should arrive within an hour, but don't open it. This will trick your Wii into thinking it has a permanent announcement for you and cause it to display the light at all times.
Send More Miis
The number of Mii avatars you can send to contacts each day --- usually 20 --- can be increased. Ajust the date on the Wii to a different day. This will confuse the system's internal clock and it will let you send another 20 Mii's that day. There is no limit to how many times this trick can be applied.
