Output Wii to a Laptop PC

If you're travelling to a country with non-compatible TV sets and still want to play your favorite video games, you may want to connect your Wii to your laptop, using its screen as your display.
  1. USB TV Tuner

    • As the majority of laptops do not have an input for a video signal, use a USB TV tuner. These are available from many online vendors such as Amazon, as well as most computer and electrical retail stores. The USB TV tuner effectively turns your laptop into a TV set.

    Using the USB Tuner

    • To use the USB tuner, place the installation CD into your laptop's disc drive and follow the instructions, then plug the tuner into one of your laptop's USB sockets. Plug the AV Multi Out cable into your Wii, and the end with the audio and video jacks into the USB tuner. Then plug in and turn on your Wii.

    Display

    • After you have clicked on the icon, you should be able to see your Wii homepage. You may have to adjust the screen resolution and screen size in your computer's system settings.
