Making Three-Pointers
To make a three-point shot, you need to make a shot on or behind the outside line. Getting enough power involves watching the timer on the side while you hold the Wii Remote above your head. When your character looks to have peaked with respect to his jump, flick the remote. This is not an aiming exercise, and it doesn't matter which direction your character is facing as long as you aim correctly with the remote when you take your shot. Also, if you don't keep the remote straight when you shoot, you may pass the ball off to the side instead of taking the desired shot.
Quick Draw
In the quick draw subgame, players need to score 20 points or more with at least 10 seconds left on the clock. After you shoot, the balls are thrown back and put into the cart. If you run out of balls, do not wait to pick up the ball as it comes; instead, have your character facing the cart while pressing the "B" button. Also, maximize the number of shots you can make by not waiting to see if you made a previous shot and take the next shot as your character lands.
How to Play at Night
Most of the basketball games played in "Wii Sports Resort" take place during the daytime. A simple trick allows you to play at night, however. At the character select screen, hold the hand cursor over whichever character you wish to select for the game. Press the "2" button and the "A" button at the same time to select the character. The next screen is a warning message. Upon seeing it, release the "2" button while still holding the "A" button. If done right, you will play the ensuing game at night.
