Extra Pixl
Pixls are friendly characters that help Mario defeat enemies. Each Pixl has different powers. A Pixl named Barry is available in the fourth chapter. You will find him in level 4-1 but he won't be willing to join your party. Instead, you have to finish level 4-4 and go back to him. He will then be willing to join you. You can activate Pixls by pressing the "1" button.
The Warp Nexus Star Block
The Warp Nexus is a section in level 4-3 where you can find one of the elusive Star Blocks. There are several different warp zones that lead you to different screens. You can only choose one and must deal with the consequences. Picking the wrong warp zone can send you to difficult battles with moving boss enemies. However, the portal in the bottom left takes you to a room filled with coins. The warp zone in the upper right sends you to a statue. Buy the choco-bar from the statue and take the choco-bar to Squirps. He'll unlock his gate in appreciation, giving you access to the Star Block.
Secrets in 4-2
Once you are in level 4-2, you will end up outside an outhouse. The character inside the outhouse demands a piece of toilet paper. Move on and keep dropping into the pits. Go into 3D mode in each pit to find a Mega Shroom Shake. This shake heals 50 hit points. Once you pass this screen, go into the green door. An invisible brick in the room adds an extra 10 points to your maximum hit points. It changes position so you must jump rapidly. Go to the third level and jump around on the golden blocks. These blocks are above the entrance. Go to the fourth screen. Find the ancient explorer behind the green door. Buy his clue and take it back to the outhouse. You earn Fleep, a new Pixl. Use him near the rock head statue. This reveals a door key. Use this key on the locked door between the outhouse and statue to find the Star Block.
