What Is Standard With Wii?

Nintendo's Wii console offers games that react to a player's movements. When purchasing a Wii, the console comes with enough hardware to get one player started, and basic sports-themed games to teach new users how to play.
  1. Controllers

    • The Wii comes with one Wii Remote with a Remote jacket, as well as one Nunchuck controller. The Nunchuck plugs into the Wii Remote for use in games that require both hands.

    Sensor Bar

    • The sensor bar sits above or below the television hooked up to the Wii; it allows the players to aim and target anywhere on the television screen.

    Cords, Cable and Stand

    • The Wii package includes a standard composite cable, which connects the Wii to the television. Also included is the Wii's power cord. The stand cradles the Wii, allowing it to sit vertically instead of horizontally.

    Game

    • The starter game included in the Wii package is called "Wii Sports." This is a collection of games, such as baseball, bowling, boxing and golf.

    Wii Sports Resort

    • The Wii system can also be purchased in a "Wii Sports Resort" pack, which offers Wii systems in black as well as white and comes with "Wii Sports Resort" in addition to "Wii Sports." "Wii Sports Resort" includes archery, Frisbee, table tennis, swordplay and wakeboarding.
