How to Defeat the Giant Insect on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for GameCube

Tap the "X" button on the GameCube controller to activate Link's wolf sense. The Twilit Bloat cannot be seen unless Link has this ability activated.

Press and hold down "L" to lock onto the Twilit Bloat. Hold "L" down for the entire battle.

Tilt the analog stick to the left and right to move Link back and forth on the platform to avoid the initial attacks of the giant insect.

Move the stick sharply left or right and press "A" to jump out of the way of the Twilit Bloat's charge attack.

Run up to the boss when he hovers just above the end of the platform and press "A" to leap onto its stomach. Tap "A" repeatedly to damage it. You will leap off automatically after a few hits.

Dodge the attacks of the Twilit Bloat until it hovers above the platform once again then leap back onto its stomach. Repeat this strategy until the Twilit Bloat falls onto its back in the water.

Press "A" and jump up onto the belly of the Twilit Bloat as it lays in the water. Press and hold "B" to charge up your energy attack. An energy circle will expand over the boss and cover its six tentacles.

Release "B" to perform Link's energy attack and defeat the Twilit Bloat.
